Jaco did gymnastics for 15 years, starting at an age of 3 and went to SA’s almost every year during my school career. I have coached for the last two years at school and took a few of my kids to SA competitions during those years. Currently I am busy studying BSc Physics and Computer science. I have a passion for gymnastics as a sport and loved practice sessions. Now I love coaching gymnastics and shaping future gymnasts. I strive to shape new gymnast to love the sport and to push gymnasts to do their absolute best and to show them that their limits are much further than they think. In my eyes there is no such thing as “can not” or “give up”, the only option is to try your best.

Dr. Ninette Thiart is an experienced gymnast, coach, and judge with over 28 years in the field. Her love for dance and movement inspired her to pursue a PhD in Sport Science and earn her Royal Academy of Dance Ballet teaching diploma. As an internationally recognized rhythmic gymnastics judge, coach, and lecturer, she is passionate about the science of movement and helping young athletes overcome their biggest challenges, both physically and mentally.

Nicole van Niekerk is a passionate gymnastics coach with 13 years of experience as a gymnast herself. As a dedicated third-year BSc Physiology and Psychology student, she combines her academic knowledge with her love for the sport to help gymnasts reach their full potential. With a keen focus on both physical performance and mental resilience, Nicole is committed to guiding and inspiring young gymnasts.

Marna is a passionate young coach, who did rhythmic gymnastics for 13 years. Her love for dance, gymnastics and helping people made her decide to become a rhythmic gymnastics coach. With her diploma in Visual Communication, she combines her talent with gymnastics not just to create visual designs but also artistic dances. Helping gymnasts grow into their full potential, both mentally and physically.

Jan-Paul Thiart has a deep love for athletics, sports, and mentoring others. Inspired by his wife, Dr. Ninette Thiart, Jan-Paul discovered his love for gymnastics, leading them to co-found Potchefstroom Gymnastics Academy. As president, he is dedicated to creating a dynamic environment where athletes can thrive, with the vision of making the academy a leading institution in gymnastics. Jan-Paul believes in the transformative power of sports and education, aiming to instill discipline, resilience, and confidence in young gymnasts.
