Men's Artistic Gymnastics

Men's Artistic Gymnastics (MAG) is a powerful and highly technical sport that emphasizes strength, control, and agility. Boys compete across six apparatuses: floor exercise, pommel horse, rings, vault, parallel bars, and high bar. Each event challenges gymnasts to perform acrobatic skills, high-flying releases, and intricate holds that showcase their physical prowess and precision. Men's Artistic Gymnastics can be incredibly beneficial. It fosters upper body strength, flexibility, and coordination, and encourages discipline, determination, and mental toughness. These skills not only enhance physical fitness but also build confidence and resilience, preparing young boys for success in any challenge they face.

Beginner / Novice Gymnastics

Beginner Men's Artistic Gymnastics (MAG) follows the artistic gymnastics novice program of Gymnastics South Africa. This program emphasizes the development of FUNdamental skills (flexibility, strength, and coordination) and the introduction of gymnastics skills. Gymnasts can move freely between recreational and slightly more competitive paths, allowing them to explore their potential without pressure. Whether enjoying gymnastics for fun or competition up to the provincial level to earn their provincial colours the focus remains on personal growth to ensure a positive experience for every gymnast.

Recreational & Competitive Gymnastics.

These gymnasts follow the Gymnastics South Africa program which aligns with the "Learn to Train," "Train to Train," and "Train to Compete" phases of the long-term athlete development model. This program helps gymnasts build advanced skills, discipline, and performance readiness. The program emphasizes steady development, ensuring that gymnasts grow physically, emotionally, and mentally while preparing those who compete to perform at their best in the regional, provincial, and national competitions.
